Our Approach — The Feels

The Feels: Our Approach to Mindful, Somatic Dating

our work is built on the generosity of teachers, thinkers, and practitioners who came before us — somatic workers, relational psychologists, mindfulness practitioners, and healers whose work showed us what's possible. we draw from them in reverence, knowing we're part of a lineage, not the origin. this is living work for us; we're always adding, always subtracting, always deepening based on what we're studying and learning.

How We Design —

most dating events pair you up and hope for the best. we do something different. we tune you into your body first. every format we create — whether it's an event, a workshop, a coaching session — is built around the principle that grounded and present is where to be.

we developed this approach in partnership with Columbia University's Spirit Mind Body Institute, weaving together four bodies of research: somatic awareness, mindfulness, nonviolent communication, and relational work. our white paper maps that research — the scholars behind each thread, how they connect, and why we designed things the way we did.

The Glossary

language matters. how we talk about something shapes how we experience it. the glossary is our reference: the terms we use, the practices we draw from, the teachers we study, the possibilities that inspire us, what we're weaving into our work at any given moment.
